Make money selling antiques and collectibles online
Do you have any old toys and games somewhere in your loft or in storage
somewhere? It’s well worth going through your "old junk" to see just
what precious collectibles you have got!
Similar to selling antiques, you never know just what you might find
once you start going through boxes of items that haven’t seen the light
of day for years.
Any limited edition items from films, or merchandise from sporting
stars can be extremely sought after. EBay is an excellent place to do
your research if you do find an unusual item!
Have you ever watched Antiques Roadshow? Well many countries worldwide
have their own versions of a programme like that, and it is well worth
watching for ideas.
Now I’m not suggesting that you can make money selling antiques just
because you have watched one programme - that way lies empty wallets
and yet more fake items cluttering up your house!
But you might find that you already have an item that matches one "As
seen on screen". And its not just "old stuff" that is shown on there.
As mentioned earlier, collectibles from films can become valuable
quickly. Have you got any old James bond collectibles? What about those
"Dinky" cars and other "Toys" that are shown on there almost every
episode?
You get the idea - see if you have something of value by researching
everything you already have got, and keep an eye out at boot sales and
other markets wherever you go for something that the seller might not
realise is all that valuable, because it might just be a hidden gem!
And if you do find something of value, stick it on eBay and make money
selling collectibles!

Make money selling books online
It doesn’t matter whether or not you currently own a single book at
all! You can still make money selling books online. (Just think on a
smaller scale than Amazon!)
If you do have some books that you don’t want to keep and would like to
try selling books online, then consider listing them on eBay (doing a
completed listings search first to see what other copies of the same
book went for during the last month to work out a reasonable price for
them) to get some cashing flowing in.
If you don’t have any books yet, then you will have to buy them first.
(Speculate to accumulate - or "he who dares wins", eh Del boy?) You can
usually get hold of books cheap at your local library because they
often have cheap book sales to clear out old stock making way for new.
Charity shops sell books extremely cheap that you can buy and then
resell online for huge profits (ten times the purchase price often!)
which benefits all concerned.
You could go a step further and get hold of unwanted books by offering
house clearing services. You can be paid to clear peoples houses of
their books (plus other potential valuables), and make money when
actually selling the books online too - a double whammy! Try writing a
free classified ad to get hold of books and other stuff this way.
Its worth looking on eBay to buy your books first, before listing them
for sale straight back on there. Some people sell books in a job lot,
whereas they could possibly make much more by selling them individually.
One last point on this - try to get hold of signed books as these will
have a higher resell value. Even if your old book is not signed all's
not lost, you might still be able to get the author to sign it if they
are appearing at a book signing for their new book - just be cheeky and
tell them you always treasured your old copy and get them to sign that
instead of buying their new one (Do not let them dedicate it to anyone,
just ask them to sign it "Best wishes" or "With thanks" otherwise it
might be harder to sell!)

Do you have a camera and are you any good with it?
How good you are with it is of course a debateable term, but your
camera could potentially be earning you an absolute fortune!
For example you might be able to record a video that becomes immensely
popular on video sites like YouTube. This can lead to fame and fortune
in itself.
But you can also make money from YouTube simply by having a video that
gets enough video views, so that YouTube will email you and ask to put
adverts against your video. You make money from the clicks on those
adverts!
You might be able to make a video for YouTube that advertises your
business or skills at doing something that can potentially lead to you
getting customers willing to pay you for your efforts to help them.
On a smaller scale you could simply make money by recording videos for
others. For example you could become a wedding photographer, and do the
wedding videos for couples, although this would require some skill and
just a little nerve - imagine ruining the video of the big day!
Even if you do not have a camera capable of video, you can still make
money with your camera by selling photos to various stock photography
websites. (Selling videos is possible too as some accept video footage)
People do buy stock images of everything imaginable for use online and
in real world publications, and for every sale made in this manner -
you make a commission!
Use your imagination, start using that camera and get your photographs’
and videos sent off and shared around the world on photograph and video
sites to see just how much money you can make.
One last tip - make sure your name and contact details appear in the
videos you make as they might end up all over the internet where nobody
will know how to contact you the creator to offer you money in return
for your skills!
